You can not be a paid member of the group in question. :)
I understand where you are coming from but the items are free once you pay the membership fee. In the end, it is worth it because both groups frequently give out gifts every month that are probably worth much more than the cost to join the group. Once you are already part of that group the next month those items are going to be free. Obviously for those that are new it is not going to be free in the beginning. But in my situation, yes they are. I clearly state beside group gift that there is a fee to warn those that do not want to spend lindens. Anyways, that is my opinion on this situation...I am sorry if this bugs you.

If you must pay the membership fee is not really free. Is Free when membership fee are free too. That is only a gift in a pay membership. Is not the same.
